Misfortune Part 1
Set in the studio of a typical television game show, Misfortune is a parody of every day life at the school. Listeners will hear situations to raise their awareness into ordinary events that can be turned into unhappy, something distressing change for others.
Characters: One Male TV Host, 2 male(youth) & 1 Female (Youth). One female voice in bachgroud.
Misfortune Part 2
More of the television-game show Misfortune. Join the three contestants now going through more questions on Bullying. Hear the dramatic ending which will emphasize to listeners that “doing nothing” is not a good choice with bullying.
Characters: One Male TV Host, 2 Male(youth) & 1 Female (Youth). One female voice in bachgroud.
Cowgirl On A Fence
One young Cowgirl has been a bystander of Bullying. The analogy here is that she figures it’s safer not to do anything and stay on top of a fence, don’t jump on either side, the bullied nor the victim. She shares her feelings with her friend Gertrude, a talking horse. This skit is meant to open the kid’s eyes to passive bystanding.
Characters: 1 Young Cowgirl. One Female Talking Horse.
Had A Great Fall
Join Paul, Lisa and Rufus in a typical schoolyard. Rufus, the bully is looking for Milton a chubby kid he nicknamed “Humpty.” He ask Lisa and Paul if they know where Milton is located. Under pressure from Rufus, Paul tells Rufus that Milton is sitting on a wall reading. While Rufus sneaks behind the wall to push Milton to the ground, listener will be able to “hear” what’s going on inside the bully’s head. This series of skits was written to encourage discussions on the “bully” as a person.
Characters: One Adult Female Teacher, Two Boys & One Girl. Background voice of very young girl at the start.
The King's Men Part 1
Let’s explore Bullying from the Bully’s perspective. Rufus meets Miss Empa Tea, a little voice residing in his conscience. Together they explore the consequences of Bullying. Rufus is starting to realize the serious consequences bullying has on many people.
Characters: 1 Boy, 1 Girl, 1 Female Adult. Several background voices.
The King's Men Part 1
Rufus runs back to Miss Empa Tea. With some help from Miss Empa Tea, Rufus now open a window into his hearth. This skit will bring awareness that the Bully is also a person in need of help. Listener will also learn that there are people who want to help the bully get out of their cycle of violence.
Characters: 1 Boy & 1 Girl.
Lee Wong's Friends
Listeners will meet Chinese student Lee Wong as he explores two recognized techniques to counter bullying. Lee first learns to tell an adult. Second, as the adult recommends, Lee Wong starts to hang around with a few “buddies,” which make him less prone to attack from bullies. Join along and enjoy!
